Over the last couple of days, following the announcement that Okta has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Auth0, we have seen an outpouring of excitement and celebration from our developer community around the news. We have also been listening closely and have heard concerns from a few developers/customers that they may need to change their production-code or re-engineer their Auth0 implementation. Let me just start by saying thank you for trusting us with your concerns and thank you to the overwhelming number of you who shared your excitement with us.
Now, while I can not make any future-oriented statements about the acquisition, I can tell you that Auth0 is and will continue to invest in the products, SDKs, and developer-centric platform that brought us to this place. In fact, just yesterday, we announced that our new Next.js SDK is live and ready for primetime. You can expect us to ship more exciting products this year and to continue to invest in the core of our platform.
So let me talk specifically to the builders and developers who are worried their code will need to be re-written. Your Auth0 implementation will continue to receive the same support and services you have come to expect, including 99.99% availability. Even after the acquisition is closed, the Auth0 product will remain an independent platform, and it will continue to receive our high levels of investment, development, and support. Aside from regular maintenance of our libraries and tools, which occasionally require code refreshes or updates in the field, you can rest assured that your implementation will operate as expected, whether you are a team of 3,000 engineers or a dev shop of one.
Since 2013 the goal of our product teams has been shipping tools that enable the innovators, the developers, security engineers, the architects, in essence, all of you, to be able to build faster, scale more reliably, and build even better, more secure products for your customers.
