About
In 1947, the British government launched the National Health Service (NHS). Its mission was simple. The NHS would provide high-quality healthcare to every British resident, irrespective of their ability to pay. It now employs 1.5m people –more than Amazon or Foxconn– and provides over 564 million treatments each year.
The NHS Leadership Academy aims to help everyone in the NHS to discover their full potential and achieve the highest standards in health and care. As Ishani Vardhan, Digital Delivery Lead, explained: “If we have better leaders and executives, we’ll have happier staff and better patient outcomes. It is leaders at any level who build inclusive and compassionate cultures that help deliver quality of care.”
This year the NHS Leadership Academy launched a total rewrite of their in-house bespoke training platform. The newest iteration emphasizes scalability and user experience, as it grows beyond its existing 280,000 users. Helping them achieve this goal is Auth0’s flagship identity platform.
